I am a Childminder. I mostly work with funded children who come to me as funded two year olds. Some are now accessing the Pupil Premium. I feel that the most usefull way I can use it is to offer extra hours to each of those children. That benefits each child directly. I offer two extra 7 1/2 hour days per half term. One child has an agrophbic mother , so they are two days extra, out and about, during half term or holiday time. another child has two younger siblings who have regular hospital visits , and that means two extra days that he doesn't have to spend in hospital waiting rooms. the next one due to access pupil premium has no areas that concern me, and I need to think carefully how to use the payment. I think I will offer extra days during Half term and holiday time. Though, the downside to that is I lose some of My free days.
